Client Spotlight - Home Sweet Home Company

We recently sat down with Brock Fuller of Home Sweet Home Company (HSH). We are so thankful to not only have Brock and his wife, Laura, as friends and clients of ours, but also to have HSH create one-of-a-kind closing gifts for our clients who are making a home purchase.

Tell us about Home Sweet Home Company. HSH started out of a class project at Belmont. I was enrolled in Belmont's entrepreneurship program in their business department. Upon graduation, I officially launched the business in 2014. Essentially, what we do is find the exact longitude and latitude coordinates of your home and create of a design featuring the coordinates. Those designs are created into framed prints, pillows, and a few other items. Currentl,y we have prints for 47 states.

What was your inspiration to start the business? I interned for a company called Volunteer Traditions in 2011. You may have seen their stuff around town as they create Clothing, Hats, Decals, etc with Tennessee themes. I designed a t-shirt for them and they mentored me to take that one design and deploy it across other mediums. I took that idea and used it across other projects in the entrepreneur program.

Where can customers find your products? HomeSweetHomeCompany.com and locally at WestElm, Music City Shop, Music City Marketplace as well as Ms. Lucilles in Clarksville.

What's next for HSH? I'll soon be releasing some new designs, new/more framing options, and an overall new user experience.

Have you created prints for anyone memorable? Sure thing, I created a couple for some Nashville Predators players and one for Danica Patrick. Sorry, folks can't give you those coordinates.

What would you say is your creative process for coming up with the print designs? I'm a lover of minimalistic design, typography, and letterpress. With the creative process, I'm always designing. I never stop, and often I sit on designs for a long time until I convince myself that they are ready for the world. Sometimes it's a huge success, other times not so much. Nothing uniform to my process, pretty crazy actually. I love being able to tell a story using a few words or design elements!
